He was inept for sure and didn't help himself, but now he's gone i don't hate him. In fact i wish him well.

      Good luck Roy.
I'll go with that. I'm just relieved he's gone.

Kenny isn't the (new) messiah but it's a big step in the right direction.

Hodgson admitted himself, that he didnt know what Meireles' best position was. To my mind, a manager who doesnt know what a player's best position is, didnt sign him.

Yes, his statement was misleading and entirely self-serving, as usual, without a shred of humility or dignity.

                Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Hodgson speaks out after Anfield sacking

Departed Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson today broke his silence in an extraordinary outburst against the club and its new manager, Kenny Dalglish.

Hodgson, who claimed to be friends with Dalglish when both worked at the club, told of his disappointment in the Scot and feels he has been knifed in the back.

"Ken couldn't wait to get his mits on the job. He was upset that he was snubbed last summer and has been loitering in the background all the time, waiting for an opportunity. That opportunity came and he's taken it with both hands.

"The club have painted it as a mutual agreement, as clubs often do, but there was nothing mutual about it - only that I agreed to their terms in sacking me and I agreed to leave quietly.

Hodgson also attacked the club's fans, who he feels never gave him a chance.

"Far from supporting me, they've actually been taking the piss out of me - which, for a man of my experience and my track record, I feel is an extreme liberty. There are videos on the internet poking fun at me and I had next to no support both on matchdays and on the phone-ins and internet forums.

"Those fans have an extraordinary reputation but I have to say I never saw anything to support that reputation."

The LMA manager of the year has also spoken of his unhappiness with the way his methods have been perceived, and believes there is an agenda to belittle him.

"I watched the game against Manchester United and they lost. The performance wasn't much different to what we saw lately, yet certain quarters of the press and the fan-base are claiming it was a brave new Liverpool. Certainly I didn't see that. In fact, when we went there a few months ago under my management, we scored two goals in a performance full of verve, quality and passion."

The former Inter Milan and Switzerland boss has said he intends to return to management as soon as possible and doesn't believe potential suitors will be put off by his difficult spell on Merseyside.

"I'm looking for work right away and in no way has my CV been negatively affected by my short time there. I wasn't given the opportunity to put my stamp on the squad. Hopefully in my next job I'll be afforded that luxury."
                  Anyone buying that? LOL
                  Thanks very much for being

I put a bit of white text at the bottom. It's pure Hodgson though isn't it. His made up quotes write themselves, I can hear him saying every word.
