The world must be spinning backwards or something - Roy said in his post game interview, that he is now looking at the teams above them to target, rather than worrying about being caught by those below them

Its amazing how you work that little bit harder when a career promotion beckons, then if you get it and you slip back into your previous lazy ways.

Winning 5 - 1 away though I'll bet its the first time that has happened to the old duffer in his 37.75 years of football management. Extra helping of pudding for Woyston tonight

Devastated to see him win 5-1 away, although cracking timing for the England vacancy

Got to have earned himself a new video now. Not sure he'd get any further with Obemwinge's missus though - not after he scored a hattick...

I think 8 points above the relegation zone at this point probably means they'll stay up. I'm not sure whether I want them to fall apart and go down or them to go on a good run and get Hodgson the England job
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Roy Hodgson says he will "wait and see what comes up" before deciding whether to sign a new West Brom contract this summer.

Hodgson is out of contract at The Hawthorns in the summer and is among the candidates for the vacant England manager's role, although Tottenham's Harry Redknapp appears to be the clear favourite to be named as Fabio Capello's successor.

Regardless of what happens with the England job, Hodgson is adamant that he is only interested in working at the highest level in the future.

When asked about his contract situation, Hodgson said: "I shall be 65 in the summer and I don't need to worry about those sort of things, We'll see what happens.

"The one thing I do care about is working in the Premier League.

"I'm not so certain that I want to come back to England - which has been fantastic since I came back four years ago - and just cling on to any job and work in any division.

"Let's see how the next games pan out, and where we're going to go, and then maybe I'll sit down with the chairman and I'll discuss the future."

West Brom gave their survival chances a huge boost with yesterday's 5-1 win over Black Country rivals Wolves at Molineux, and Hodgson added: "The situation is very clear and simple. The club have mentioned that they would like me to stay on and I've said that sounds good.

"But we will wait and see what comes up and we will decide sometime in the future. There is no hurry."

it really is incredible - notice how he has never stayed anywhere very long?

fair play to him - he has somehow carved himself a good 'career' - looked like it was a wise move to go abroad back in the early days when there wasn't anywhere near as much hype and exposure in the game....

he probably turned up in sweden, with his coaching badges, and having the novelty of being an 'english manager', plus he could speak a few languages and so nothing clubs in nothing leagues took him on and he did ok - and he someone has managed to blag it from there...

the inter job is the big one...(well other than us) thats the turning point of his career

Up until then other than managing Switzerland, he had nothing to shout about - inter put him on the map

if you took out 3 years as Switzerland manager and the 3 years at liverpool and inter..........the other 30 years of his managerial career are pretty much flat arent they....one europa cup run with Fulham to shout about.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

He's only had 2 jobs for more than 3 years.

I'm amazed that he can leave one job and walk into another, for someone who has had so many positions it's amazing that he never seems to be out of work for more than a year

It's amazing to think (given how bad he is) that in the last 20 years the guy has managed:
                            - 4 Premiership clubs (including us)
                            - Inter (twice)
                            - 3 International teams

                            I mean WTF??

I suspect his style was more relevant then (and to some extend there). In an era of mostly 4-4-2 vs 5-3-2 it makes a fair amount of sense, particularly in the more static Italian league.
