TBH, Glen was declining at the start of the Hodgson Era & ultimately was at fault for our draw at Crystal Palace last season when we lost the title to City...made too many basic errors in that match.

Still bugs me to this day so good riddance!

Not in my experience. All of the people I knew thought he was a totally **** defender and needed to be moved to RW instead. He was good, without being brilliant. Served us well at Right Back.

He caused numerous heated discussions between me and my brother - I rated him highly, he said that the fullbacks called Kyle from Spurs were better. We might have both been wrong in hindsight, but I still say that when he was good, he was a top class footballer. He just dropped off remarkably.

Anyway, we have the same conversations about Sakho now. My brother says he's the worst footballer he's ever seen and thinks Lovren is better. He is wrong.

You are right, there's no argument IMO. Football idiots like Benitez and Capello seemed to agree too. I think between about 2010 and 2012 he was a top class right back and there weren't many better around.

Anyway, my post before the one that seems to have riled you was a rare attempt of mine to actually make a footballing point.

Do you agree that a lot of Johnson's decline was concentration, lack of recovery pace (or effort) and **** distribution? And if so, do you blame Rodgers for that?
