I still read that as a dig. Instead of holding his hands up and saying 'I got it wrong', he says he answered it right, then shifts the blame to those pesky media folk for writing about it.

He boils my piss *so* much. He's so up his own arse, I'm starting to type this with my fists.

He can't help himself he's done it again last night talking to people on the Tube about Rio Ferdinand.

Off the top of my head he also had to apologise to Rafa over his snide Kenny remarks, and apologised recently for angrily tearing off his black armband and hurling it to the floor

I think Glen Johnson is a ****ing amazing player. Had he been from a continental team or from SA people would be rating him more.

Regd. the transfer fee, I always thought as long we got a player who was going to be top class and was going to stay with us for a long time, the inflated transfer fee wouldn't matter much.

Do you think ManU will be banging their heads for paying 30m for Rio or Rooney back in the day? Absolutely not. It's peanuts compared to what they get out of him in terms of performances and PR.

I put Glen in the same bracket.

Johnson's defensive game has improved alot over the last year. He was always good going forward and technically endowed (yes i said technically endowed ) but his was so dodgy defensively, his defensive body shape and his positional sense are vastly improved.

Great to see him improve his game & long may it last.

assuming that's South America and not South Africa, vuvuzelas notwithstanding?

He wasn't anywhere near as dodgy as has been made out on here a number of times, good to see he's getting the recognition he deserves finally.

Cue hilarious defensive ****up tonight, leading to a Udinese goal.

Bit dodgy for the goal but it was a class finish

He lost the ball for the first two

The first one, yes. The second it was Gerrard, and then Downing's man scored. Definitely partially at fault for the first goal, but I don't see where he takes blame for the second.

He was sloppy nearly all game. He went on a run first half and the ball got stuck under his feet and I knew that he'd be **** today. Bloody good player but like skrtel and reina, he has the odd game where he ****s up and looks casual. Oh well he'll be good again sunday.
