you can really tell that most of the journalists had no time or him as their having a field day taking the piss

I wonder if Andy Gray will be kept out of that mutual masturbation advert where him 'arry Redknapp et al sit about talking about their best memories of Sky Sports?
      Modifying post.

That's more than likely the real reason he's gone. The sexism is a convenient excuse.

Of course none of the above will ever be provable.
Interesting point. Perhaps it's had a bearing but I'm not sure it's all that likely.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

A lot of journalists today have said that neither Gray or Keys had much time for mere print journalists.

Gray because none of them have actually played the game and Keys because errr he's a 'TV star' and above them all.

Surely Keys has to go too the useless ****.

Gray didn't walk, he was pushed.

But I don't think Keys will go without some new incident. Sky will surely be keen to keep him on for a while at least, until the new 'expert' (I use the word loosely, indeed wrongly) has settled in. They won't want a brand new team to be parachuted in mid-season, without any preparation time.

Still, maybe Keys will feel a little less comfortable about his job prospects for next season, or this time next year.

The thing is the Massey comments were leaked by someone from within. I can't believe that Gray and Keys haven't said loads of things over the years 'in private' ie off air that would have got them into trouble or been controversial at least.

The timing is very suspect to me.

Yep that's how it seems. Gray often trotted out that line, it's such an out-dated load of bull****. We've seen zillions of ex-pros who played at the top level who offer the insight and analytical skills of a cat.

Assuming a reasonable level of intelligence and articulacy, experience in the game must give them something. But it doesn't give them everything, or even anything like enough.

Sam Mataface on talk****e (ex sky now radio) said Gray not liked within sky circles.

I assume that's not a direct answer to the question.

Yes, until such time they write some crap we don't agree with.

I think very few of them are worth reading.
