      I hope he does well.

Seen some of his Twitters since he left and he seems to really care for LFC. Hopefully he'll go on to have a decent career.

“Liverpool have not made full use of my skills. It was the same under Rafa Benitez as it was with Roy Hodgson. I think Kenny Dalglish would have given me a fair chance. Steven Gerrard was a great inspiration. He often said that I should not give up. When I left Steven also said to me that he was convinced of my qualities and I still can be a big player. ‘Liverpool will regret your departure’, were his last words he said to me.”

            Great Support from the captain......

But He also said Joe Cole is as good as messi and Alan Curbishley should be the next LFC manager....Don't give up the day job.. Stevie.

babel update - scored second goal of season 4 days ago. 5th minute goal - played full 90mins as striker - 3 shots on goal - 2 on target - 1 goal.

this follows up a goal in cup game in extra time. 4 games and 2 goals

We all cried at the amount we paid for him. He seems a bargain now given the amount we have paid for Carroll-Harry Henderson and their output/potential so far. At least Babel looked decent. Who knows, if he had had the right coaching he could've been a star for us.

He had enough time - maybe if he concentrated his efforts on the pitch instead of twitter he might've achieved something.

Nah - Babel had chances, didn't deliver and it was time for him to go. Glad he's doing well though.

After a promising start, I thought he looked pretty clueless and lacking in effort most times he played for us. A fresh start was the right thing for him.

That's true. But putting in a world class performance against Real Madrid, decimating Sergio Ramos and then subsequently being dropped for the three games would hardly work wonders for your confidence

You dissapointed with Hendersons output? After 3 games?

Not a chance, weak mentally and nowhere near as much ability as some like to think. Which is why he's at a nothing club in the prime of his career.

(one of) The most frustrating thing (s) about Babel was he had an absolute cannon of a shot on him, but he could never direct the fcker on goal...

Reminds me of the time I played a blinder in a game for St Declans under 11s in 1986 but I didn't make it - I was 33 though
