    Thanks Fernando..?

For all the fantastic memories, starting with the goal that announced your arrival - against Chelsea - and ending with your last two against Wolves.

You're a world class player on your day and could have retired from this great club as a legend but I understand if you didnt believe that we would once again challenge for the honours you so desire.

We've made a decent profit from your sale and you'll earn a lot more than we would rightly be prepared to pay you so I say good luck

Granted I would have understood it more if you'd joined a club in Europe where you wouldnt get kicked about so much or where your team wasn't past it's peak but I guess the lure of London was too much.

I can't promise everyone will feel this way as this game brings out a lot of emotion in the fans but I for one will cherish the goals and the memories and will look out for you in your new venture. Just dont expect me to be so supportive when you play the mighty reds.

Am I the only one who can see this rationally and recognise that he's not a local lad, he does want to be the best he can be and earn the most he can earn?

agree. I have nothing but the best wishes for him. I think he made a mistake, but that's now his problem. Still, one of the best strikers we ever had and a class player always. YNWA.

If he had gone to Barcelona or one of the Milan clubs then I would have wished him the best and been fine with it. But he's gone to Chelsea. So **** him

Scored some amazing goals. Bizarre decision to leave for Chelsea. I'll never forgive him. Cunt.

Why not Barcelona in the summer ?

i am thankful for his efforts for LFC.

not sure i wish him luck. however we have made a good profit on him, the timing is strange but it could have been worse.

he left his hometown club to win things and he hasnt won anything domestically. So i can see he wants to go. I do hope we win more than he does but it in no way means i am not thankful for what he did with and for us.

He was always going to leave to a rival when he wanted out.

Barca don't need, Real is a club he really wouldn't play for
              Italian/German can't afford

So **** it. I'm confident we've come out the better. Two great strikers now instead of a 25 game a season man.

I'd like to wish him well but i don't.

For the first 18 months he was with us he was simply mesmerising. I've never seen a player glide across the park as he did. In that time he really was something very special.

                        WHAT HE SAID!

Time will tell if he made a mistake. I think he just did, but he ain't no Michael Owen!!

You will never walk alone, Fernando... except when you face the sons of Anfield!

Thank you for the memories... now we walk on!

Maybe because Barcelona couldn't afford both Fabregas and Torres. That only left City and Chelsea as realistic options.
