Because -that what it looks like, because who is to say otherwise for all he knows that come next season, liverpool could be favorites for the title if we get things right in the summer - to me it looks like he is just trying to/hoping to geg in on Chelsea winning the league or champions league this season!
That's a fair point and i dont imagine he would see his career as 'complete' then, but he'd probably think that the next couple of years would be likely to be fruitful too, in terms of honours.

And given he's won nothing in the club game, as things stand now, he probably sees a 'hollow' medal and trophy that he played little part in winning, as still being better than nothing.

As I said before, Torres can go **** himself. And I agree - Chelsea's arses will be getting bummed on Sunday

Torres may have given them an insight, but i'm sure Joe Cole and Steve Clarke will have done the same for us.

Do you know if Joe is a happier bunny since Kenny came back?
          Oh I don't know.

            Only insight required for Sunday:

Own goal : assume the purpose of a condom and don't let anything through

Their goal: penetrate it as much as possible. Smash a few goals in - job done

Torres: break the *******s leg so badly that it puts him out of the next world cup as well as all competitions up until then

Definitely a happy bunny - it's almost Easter. What bunny wouldn't be?

The whole squad are happier, they are enjoying training and the positivity around the place, it's much more fun and the style of play is seen as being more suited to them and one which they are more comfortable with - is the gist of what i've heard.

He left his boyhood club when he joined us. Why? To win things. Now he left us because of the same reason.

He simply couldn't gamble on that we MAYBE will be back at the top in a few years time.

I asked this question a few times. How many believe that he would have left if we had sacked Roy in mid November, got in KK and then signed a player like Suarez the first week in the window?

I don't think he would have left it that happened.

Then you look at our laughable bids for Suarez and it stank of yet another owner with a lack of ambition.

If we want to keep our best players then by showing ambition to win is the only way to do it. To show ambition 365 days a year. To keep improving 365 days a year.

I can understand 100% why he left. FSG made a couple of mistakes and I hope they learned a lot from it so they don't do it again.

The ones that blame Torres leaving us should also at the same time blame FSG not acting quick enough in the window and that they didn't sacked Roy earlier. Two key big mistakes. Two mistakes that most probably cost us Torres.

Ambition, ambition, ambition, ambition. Guess the key word?

                  The answer is AMBITION.

Even with current standards of the forum, this is the biggest pile of ****e I've seen in ages.

Did Chelsea show a lack of ambition when bidding only £35m for Torres? Or was it a bid designed to open negotiations?

Torres has wanted to leave for a while. He wants to win the CL. He wanted to leave in the summer when he was faced with a season in the Europa League. He realises we aren't going to finish in the top 4.

Do you think he wanted to spend another season scrapping in the Europa League but changed his mind because the club didn't make a stupid opening offer for Suarez?

                    It's just nonsense.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Our and Chelsea's situation was a bit different to say the least. They knew the max price for Torres, £50m, that was what they would have to pay in the summer if they waited until then. They didn't had to sign him now so they could afford to test the waters with a lower bid.

We had to sign a striker in the January window. We couldn't wait until the summer to do that.

You forgot about what Torres said at the start of the window. He didn't had any problem to stay just a few weeks ago. That points to that if we had signed a player like Suarez at the start of the window then he would have stayed at least until the summer.

I think you're being highly selective but, leaving that aside, on your terms then it's a question of who we believe - the owners or Fernando Torres.

I know who I think has more credibility.

Fair enough. I just have an open mind about it. Torres would probably avoid telling the whole truth if it gained him and you could say the same thing about our owner.

It is almost impossible to know what really happened. FSG will release stories that paint them in good light and Torres stories that do the same for him.

                          It is all about PR.
