That's true.Originally posted by PTP View Postdurham has been funny as **** all week ripping into torres - he's sound when he isn't having a go at your club
Think the fact that Carra's always on the phone probably helps keep us out of the firing line these days (and Kenny replacing the Bodge obviously).

Chelsea fans are already comparing him to Shevchenko and slagging off his work rate and looking disinterested when things don't go his way.
The people who are defending him are noting "lack of service" and "lack of creativity in midfield" for his poor play.
I can't help but notice the similarity...

Torres taunts Blues with Liverpool anthem
By Paul Lagan
Friday, 18th February 2011
Just as well the boys have sense of irony...
Fernando Torres was forced to undergo the dreaded Chelsea initiation as the Blues latest signing.
Going way back to the old days of Dennis Wise, any new player has to stand up and sing a song to the rest of the players and staff.
Nando, a £50m buy from Liverpool in the January transfer window took his time before deciding this week what to sing.
And what did he choose - well it was non other than Liverpool's (and Celtic's) anthem You'll Never Walk Alone.
Chelsea-Mad's spy says that the rendition was actually quite good.
"Even a few of the English lads sung along," the mole said.
"Nando has a good voice and the boys gave him a rapturous applause."
And the origin of the song? "You'll Never Walk Alone" is a show tune from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Carousel.
Liverpool fans took it as their song in the 1960s as did Celtic.
Not a patch on the Liquidator, mind.
Torres is unavailable for tomorrow's FA Cup replay at home to Everton as he is cup-tied.

Sums the plastic fans up for me - having a pop at a newbie starting what is actually a sensible thread!
Against Fulham we had 25 shots and only 3 were on target. This was the biggest upset for me. We are supposed to be a team that is good at finishing the chances we get. That is what makes us solid! Have we lost that??
This stat tells it all for me:

We ll see against Everton if any of that solidness remains.

Don't create stupid new threads, its makes you look like you have no clue.
"Finishing" makes you "solid"? Huh? I would think a whole lot of things makes a team "solid", such as passing efficiency, and even then I am not sure what "solid" really means in a football sense. Probably should mean a team with a good defence, midfield and strike force, with no real weaknesses.
Just respond to existing threads for a month or so, and then perhaps you can start a new thread, but not on your first week on the forum.

You played like a prat, Fernando
For fifty million quid I wanted so much more than this
You got subbed again, Fernando
You were running round in circles, getting nowhere very fast
I could hear the discontent
And scousers shouting at you from afar
You looked lost again, Fernando
For an hour Ancelotti kept his faIth in you
Then he snapped again, Fernando
Hauled you off, brought on Kalou, and he was even worse than you
And I’m not ashamed to say
The way you played last night, it almost made me cry
You won nothing in the air last night
You played like s***e, Fernando
Missing chances that my gran would score
You were p**s poor, Fernando
You played like you’d been out on the booze
Now there’s regrets
If I had the money back again
I’d buy eeyore, Fernando
You’re so overpriced, Fernando
Chelsea can forget their Champions League dream if you’re in the team
You play like my mum, Fernando
Do you still recall the frightful miss that went over the stand
Your close control so awful
That you looked like you should be playing for West Ham
You won nothing in the air last night
You played like s***e, Fernando
Missing chances that my gran would score
You were p**s poor, Fernando
You played like you’d been out on the booze
Now there’s regrets
If I had the money back again
I’d buy eeyore, Fernando
Mildly amusing

I think he is a qualit player, one off the best strikers in the world. I just don't think chavs have the players to play a killer ball ( Like Gerrard or Alonso or the spain team can do) through to Torres. Essien could do, however he is utilised completely wrong as a DM.2 months on. Still waiting for it happen laa. Maybe when him and yossi are on the pitch together things might change.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThey have several players who can play a killer ball, it's foolhardy to suggest otherwise.

So he just copied Benayoun.
