LONG-TERM INJURED PLAYER IN NOT BEING AMAZING SHOCKER. For ****s sake, you'd think he was the first person to come back from an injury and need rehabilitation into the team.
I'll throw that bull**** back at you. He was not out for a year with a bad knee injury at all. It's another myth.

Shortly before the end of his stay at Dortmund, Nuri sustained a medial collateral ligament injury. He joined Los Blancos still unfit, and aggravated the injury shortly after returning to training. Only in November did he return to training. An out-of-shape and out-of-form Nuri was given just 24 minutes of play in La Liga before Christmas.

By mid-season, Xabi and Khedira's partnership was untouchable, and Real were cruising forward in three competitions. Mourinho had his full squad decided, substitutes included, and was not ready to bring in outsiders. Nuri ended the season having played just 640 minutes in 10 matches in all competitions.
So basically he had a medial collateral ligament injury which is hardly that serious, aggravated it and he more or less recovered from that injury by November which means he was out for just over a couple of months and not a year . An MCL injury depending on the grade of the injury has a recovery time of between 1 and 6 weeks only and obviously surgery is not required! He was available for the majority of that season but he just wasn't good enough for Real - that's a fact

I know. Lucas is still trying to find his pre-injury form too.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

You can't compare the injury Lucas had to that of the one Sahin (not that I am saying you are)

Shelvey seeks maximum Liverpool playing time with Under-21s role

The Reds midfielder has played only four first-team matches since the turn of the year and is looking to keep himself primed and developing by playing youth football
Liverpool midfielder Jonjo Shelvey says that he is seeking as much playing time as possible as he starts to make more regular appearances for the club's Under-21s side.

The youngster was a consistent figure for the Reds in the first half of the Premier League season but has appeared just four times for the first team since the start of 2013, turning out against Manchester United and Southampton for the team's youth XI more recently.

"I just want to keep playing games because there's nothing worse than training all week and not playing at the weekend. It's a case of getting myself some games and keeping myself ticking over," Shelvey told the club's official website.

"I was told I was playing against United for the Under-21s. I thought it was because they were against a bigger team and they're doing so well, I might help the team get a win."

However, even with Shelvey in the side the young Reds managed only a 1-1 draw against Southampton and a 1-0 defeat to United.

"After that, I said to Brendan [Rodgers]: 'If there are any other games that fit in with the schedule, can I play in them?'" the midfielder continued.

"Liverpool fans should be excited for the players that they've got coming through and hopefully they can progress and get themselves games in the first team."

When asked who has impressed him most recently, Shelvey replied: "There are a few, the boy in midfield, Joao [Texeira] - I think he's going to be a great player . Suso has dropped down and played well the other night."
A lot of fans quick to question his 'attitude', but I think that's pretty misguided. Always there supporting the under age sides, seems to involve himself with a lot of the charity work and genuinely seems like a decent person off the pitch.

Hope he gets a chance at some stage against Spurs and silences some of his critics.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Jonjo's only crime this year has been that we have relied on him and other young players to dig us out of the mire.

At times he's not been good enough. Shock. He isn't ready yet. Not his fault.
            Forwards.......

It's the same thing that was said about Sturridge before he signed, a few people infer things about somebody based on minimal screen time and stories about friends of friends who saw them do this or say that, then it snowballs with others believing opinions/ subjective inferences to be fact.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Sell. Hot headed, rash, unreliable, poor decision making and not that much talent on display to outweigh the negatives.

The yellow card 2 minutes after coming on and the wild shot into the Kop when he had options on both sides of him were the latest in a fairly hefty catalogue of ****.

I still think there's a player in there. The wheels have come off a bit but I reckon he can turn it around. He's still young, but only for a couple more years.
                        Oh I don't know.
