I like Jonjo and I think he'll turn out to be a decent player but sadly I don't think we can wait that long. If WHU are offering anything over two million we should welcome them with open arms.

She hates him because he can't finish anything.Originally posted by saj View PostMet his ex a few hours ago! She is ****ing hot. Quite friendly. Typical WAG lookalike. She has just joined my company. She said she lived up north in Liverpool. My mate says "I hope you don't support Liverpool?" to which she replies "No". I respond "Why not?" to which she replies "Because my ex plays for them!". I ask her who it is and she responds "Jonjo Shelvey!". Small world. She did not say anything complimentary about him which is what you would expect given it's his ex. She did keep emphasisng how cocky he is.

He's 21, we have plenty time. He's worth more than 2 million too.Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostI like Jonjo and I think he'll turn out to be a decent player but sadly I don't think we can wait that long. If WHU are offering anything over two million we should welcome them with open arms.

I'm not so sure that £5m for Jonjo would be a good piece of business for us.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostI'd be happy to sell him to them. £20m for him and Carroll would be lovely jubberly
Given their squad quality it's very possible that he'd be a first team player for them and we may be much better off to loan him for next season and then evaluate our options to either sell him for more than £5m or bring him back if he really proves himself.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Like I said earlier, he's still only 21 we have plenty time. A season on loan could do him the world of good.

Jonjo shelvey needs to put together lots of different aspects of his game But he does have a lot of potential. What we need to do is an initial 5m with add ons that might total eventually 10m.
But 5m is too low for an England u21 international.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

He has played in a number of positions for us. At the very least he will turn out to be a useful squad player. Unless the 5 million we get for him makes the difference in us getting or not getting a world class talent in the Coutinho mould, I dont think selling him will be a good piece of business for us.

There are a lot of central midfielders ahead of him at Liverpool, with more ability. With him being a full international, you'd have to be looking at around £10m for him? He's better than Charlie ****ing Adam, who cost £8.5m. I know its not black and white like that, but y'know... Charlie Adam.

If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
