Good luck to him, I can't help but think we should have loaned him out instead of selling him, but hopefully the players we are signing mean that we won't regret it.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Why is it when we buy a player the headline fee is quoted including add ons, when we sell a player such as Shelvey for £5m + 1m add ons the headline figure doesn't include the add ons

I do understand why the club have sold him, but having given them 15m for Allen last year, I wonder how both deals will compare in 12 months time and who will be the more valuable player.
I wonder if we'll give them 10m and Wisdom for Williams.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
His immaturity, recklessness at time, poor decision-making and lack of tactical awareness made him less impact player that he could have been with us.
Being a young lad I still think he can very good solid PL player going forward if he can work on those areas.
Good thing he'll get plenty of playing time with Swansea.
I honestly don't believe he will ever reach that level. Iv got a feeling he'll be a below average PL player for the rest of his career. Glad we sold him, and anything above £4m was a cracking deal for us.
I saw someone say he could become a Kevin Nolan type player and I think that's a decent comparison, albeit I think he has the tools to be a better player than him. But a good PL goalscoring midfielder is what I think he'll become.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
Im gonna miss the Jonj! I think there is a decent footballer in there & with more game time he should be able to develop his game & iron out the negatives to an extent.
Good luck to him
Hope the deal did include a buy back or first option clause.

Time to re-invest the money. Onwards and upwards.
Shelvey is very confident and very ambitious, arogant and cocky and that will help him further his career.
He needs to mature as he is way too hot-headed at time and that tends to affect his game but the talent and potential is there.
Granted that can take him only so far but I personally think he will make it in PL but I don't think he'd ever be good enough to start for us.
