He's still a good player to have in the squad. I'd like someone better in the first team but he'd still be a good squad player.

I would not extend his contract.

Time to move on. Joe Cole and Maxi are worse though.

Keep Kuyt even if he is limited. Maxi and Cole are nearer the exit door.

rafa benitez played to his strengths but kenny is asking him to do things that he just isnt capable of. he isnt gonna beat anyone, his passing is pretty poor and his crossing although not bad isnt brilliant either.

he's never been quick but i think his time has come to an end at anfield. if someone offers over £7m we shouls accept and move on.

as for cole he should be given a free transfer to spurs or west ham. he is ****ing crap.

Kuyt's weird, stick him in a team with class players (e.g Holland) and he flourishes, but stick him in a struggling team and he looks completely pants at times

Even though he's out of form there's no way I'd sell him. He's a clever player and tactically (from what I can gather) very disciplined so he's useful to have

It's been said a thousand times though, he needs to be more of a squaddie. We really need to make more attacking signings to give him rests

The same applies for the quality of opposition as well actually. Stick him in a CL quarter-final and he's brilliant. Wigan away on a Wednesday in December and he's turd

                  Very strange

not really strange at all, against wigan he needs to play football because we are the controlling part, whereas in a CL match we can sit back a bit and just work hard to get the ball, so less times for him to get noticed for poor touch on the ball.

he should have been made in to a DM years ago, would have been brilliant there, but he is pants in any offensive position

I largely agree with your first point, Rafa played different football to KK, where Kuyt's feat of pressing and working hard came more in to play than it does under KK (or RH for that matter). But even in the Rafa day's noone was excited about Kuyt's skill or first touch and he was under criticism for that, but he could ride it off with his work ethics and his very disciplined approach that suited Rafa well. Now that is not enough any longer.

He isn't the player he was 2/3 years ago, he is really crap now.

IMO Kuyt is a player who thrives on team confidence, if the team plays well he plays well if the team doesn't he doesn't, the problem is he isn't a make things happen type player, he needs other players around him to provide the spark. I believe that if we get the team balance sorted out and get more confident positive attacking players, Kuyt will come good again.

I think he is far from crap. He is not as good as 3 years ago, but he would still walk into alot of teams. He has been our best player at times this year.

He wouldn't walk into any of top 5 teams and that should say something.

Not good enough to start any longer.

Were not a Top 5 team at the moment. Fair enough if we get a replacement in the summer, but name someone that would fill his void now?
