I thought he was damn good tonight tbh. Best game he's had in ages, and one of the few to come out of that with any credit.

          Like I said ages.

Chelsea feels like donkeys ago for some reason.

I appreciate the effort but that is about it what Kuyt offers these days. The fact that he was second best today after Raul doesn't make any difference when we were playing ****e.

Kuyt was great last night, not just for getting the winner, but his all round play was great, for all the "he shouldn't play wide" comments, he did some excellent work down the right yesterday creating some decent chances.

What last night showed again is that Kuyt is a scorer of important goals, not the third of a 3-0 cruise, but vital goals which win games. That ability is priceless, he's never been pacy but has excellent stamina he could easily play into his mid thirties. Legend.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It'd certainly be interesting to see how many of his goals come late in games and how many are decisive.

I love Kuyt as abloke and think he's important for the mentality of the squad. I wonder if keeping him more as a utilty topside squaddie would reejuvunate him somewhat. He expends so much energy it's gotta catch up with him with him being 30 now.
                          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I not sure stamina actually wanes that much in the 30s. Certainly speed reduces but many marathon runners actually get better through their 30s.

Kuyt's never had speed so loss of that won't be a problem. But last night, because their defence were so slow, Kuyt actually looked quite nimble.

Agree with you about him, he's a greater character to have in a team and I think he'll be missed much more than many fans think.

Kuyt was excellent last 20-25 mins, but up until then he was woeful. Credit to him for the header though, put his head in there when nobody else did, well done to the lad. Not the first time either that Kuyt has got Liverpool off the hook with crucial goals.

Kuyt has played about only 2-3 good games this season and the rest he has been very average, i'm a fan of Kuyt and i respect his attitude and commitment, but he has zero quality.

IMO we should sell in the summer, he's at the age now where if it's going to be done, it should be done then. Next season if he does stay, squad player at best IMO.

What Dirk has in his favour is his work rate -honest as the day is long.
Some of his misses front of goal makes me abuse the telly , some of
his crosses ditto. We can afford to keep him if we can field a full
strength squad as its then his work rate and ability to pop up anywhere
make him a worthwhile pick. Hate to be negative re Dirk but when we
rely on him to be our (lone) striker or provider too many times his quality
falls short of the mark required to contend for the top. The man runs
his heart out for the team and I honestly wish he was 10% better .
Difficult choices ahead for Kenny methinks .
Roger Waters . Rocker and Poet ,thanks man .
