Great ball winner but he is simply not good enough in the last third. He slows down a lot of our attacks meaning that we have almost no counter attacks anymore.

Good defensive player but not good enough attacking. We need to have eleven players on the pitch that can play free flowing football.

Sell him in the summer. We need a better option than him. Imagine what a player like Aguero or Lavezzi would be able to do in the same position.

That is the type of player we need instead of Kuyt. More pace and creativity. We can't waste that on a player like Kuyt in an attacking position. It would be a difference if he was a midfielder and played in a midfield position but he isn't.

Keep him as a back up striker for Suarez and Carroll.

Yep, as i said in the post match thread, he has become a liability now. His workrate is all well and good, but he used to have goals in his locker and that's no longer the case. Poor touch, no pace, makes poor decisions on the ball, not good enough techincally (see how many simple passes he cocked up today) and doesnt threaten enough in terms of goals or creativity.

If or when we sign a proper creative wide player, Kuyt's position becomes a bench-one.

He is hardest working player on the pitch but his lack of quality is becoming more and more apparent.

I wouldn't sell him unless we can get some real money for him as we need an experience on the bench.

He shouldn't be the first choice any longer but I still respect what he brings to the team.

Under H&G and Rafa I wouldn't have sold him as 1) we wouldn't have got a similar player for the money and 2) Rafa's system needed Kuyt. But as we're going to spend in the summer (hopefully) and Kenny plays a different style I'm afraid players like Reina and Suarez won't be too enamoured if we keep playing Kuyt even from the bench.

Not good enough anymore, he's been pretty poor for a long time now with the occasional good game. Would be interesting to see which one of Kuyt or Maxi is preferred once Carrol is fit.

because of the way he plays one day he's literally gonna drop and that will be that. theres no way that anyone can play in every game and give 110% over a 15 year career like kuyt has.

i think if we can sell him this summer while theres still life left in the old horse we should. no doubt he's on his last legs.

dirk kuyt should be an example to young players of what someone with little talent can achieve in the game. work hard, give your all and you will always triumph.

agree, i do however think he's worth keeping as a squad player.
I'd be a bit pissed off if we kept Maxi for example and got rid of Kuyt.

I half rate Maxi but Kuyt's still the more useful player imo, well in terms of setting up or scoring a goal at a vital time.

Aye there was a few posters on 6CM said he wasn't that bad at all, and just looked knackered in the 2nd leg.

Sometimes Kuyt is made a bit of a scapegaot when we don't win games we should.

Lucas, Kuyt and Skrel are the three that can get it in the neck the most imo.
(when the result and/or performance isn't what we want or expect).
