        Money, or lack of.

Plus they sold many players in the summer and haven't replaced.

The Forest fan i work with is well pissed off, she's like how we were when Hodgson was in charge.
        We come not to play.

Yeah they haven't given him any money to spend. Still, his ineptitude shows what a good job Billy Davies did. I bet the board feel like right clowns.

Clearly Steve is best suited to Dutch football.

He could have probably had the Ajax job if he wanted at one point, do well there then the world is your oyster! Oh well!

He's been well and truly shafted at Forest. They sold half his squad from under him, then promised him money for replacements that never materialised. They started the season without a recognised left-back in the squad, with the effect that arguably one of the best centre mids in the league in recent years, Chris Cohen, has started at left-back for a couple of games - imagine Lucas at left-back for us and you get the idea.

That said, his threatening to quit because the squad was **** after the window closed will hardly have inspired the players that are left there, and he doesn't seem to have got them playing as a unit yet 8 games into the season. It was also a big mistake to waste what little money he did have to spend on the overweight Andy Reid, and the geriatric Jonathan Greening and George Boateng.

If he wants to, there's still enough quality in the squad to turn it round and have them sitting comfortably mid table (they're only 3-4 points off the top half after a very tough run of games), and hoping to be that team that puts a run together at the right time to squeeze into the playoffs, but I've got a feeling his heart's not in it, and he could be gone in a fortnight.

5/1 on him to be the next Championship manager to get the bullet is surely worth a punt.

Definitely at 5/1! I thought he'd be about evens now....there's talk of protests at the ground on Saturday against the board and the management.

They're in a similar situation to us last year. They desperately need new owners and a new manager. They'll probably only get the latter, and will stumble on as they have been for the next 5 years or so.

                      George Boateng is still playing?!

He must be about 38-39 by now!

All 3 are well established players that are playing well below their potential. McClaren has made some poor decisions since he joined them but their dismal performance thus far is not only his fault.

That said, I cannot see him staying there much longer.

That's his 'British' age, he's probably closer to 50 in his real age.
