Plus they sold many players in the summer and haven't replaced.

He's been well and truly shafted at Forest. They sold half his squad from under him, then promised him money for replacements that never materialised. They started the season without a recognised left-back in the squad, with the effect that arguably one of the best centre mids in the league in recent years, Chris Cohen, has started at left-back for a couple of games - imagine Lucas at left-back for us and you get the idea.
That said, his threatening to quit because the squad was **** after the window closed will hardly have inspired the players that are left there, and he doesn't seem to have got them playing as a unit yet 8 games into the season. It was also a big mistake to waste what little money he did have to spend on the overweight Andy Reid, and the geriatric Jonathan Greening and George Boateng.
If he wants to, there's still enough quality in the squad to turn it round and have them sitting comfortably mid table (they're only 3-4 points off the top half after a very tough run of games), and hoping to be that team that puts a run together at the right time to squeeze into the playoffs, but I've got a feeling his heart's not in it, and he could be gone in a fortnight.Comment
