    From the Daily Fail

Sources at Chelsea said: 'Tom screamed as this lead pellet hit him in the side. He was bleeding profusely. He was in agony and seemed to go into shock as he steadied himself and sat down on one of the benches.'

        I'm still laughing.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

it's just an utter mentally bizarre story - love that animated news report haha

if i was the work experience lad, i'd be asking for a **** loads of cash - i'd be speaking to max clifford, and seeing how much i could get for revealing my side of the story - and then i'd say to cole, i've been offered £xxxx amount - double it and i'll keep quiet and just say it was a bit of banter and an accident and no hard feelings
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

...and never get to work in professional football again.

Thinking things through - I'm not sure it's your strong suit.

fined 2 weeks wages which adds up to 250 million quid!!! no wonder footballers think they are untouchable! Disgraceful that they think they can get away with it! Takes training groud banter to a new extreme! Any one else in the footballing world would have been sacked straight away! If I were the young kid, I would either go to the police or would blackmail Ashley into giving me a couple of weeks wages!!

Wow, even I'm shocked it's that much.

I've got a similar weapon to the one Cashley used and even allowing for the Mail's hyperbole, I'm guessing it would have been pretty painful.

A pellet is discharged with enough velocity to travel 500 meters, so at a distance of just a few feet it would have been coming at quite a lick.

He's a professional footballer, think about it.

The weird thing is that although it was the work experience lad that got shot it was Drogba who fell to the floor in agony

Stolen from Twitter: Speculation mounts as Ancelotti denies Torres attempted to shoot the work experience boy but fired wide.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Cowan is "persuaded" to drop charges against Cole by two of Abramovitch's financial advisors, having returned to work for the first time since the incident:
