    Champions League Games

Big news from an Arsenal point of view is...Van Persie starts!!

    Confirmed team:

Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy, Wilshere, Diaby, Fabregas, Rosicky, Nasri, Van Persie

Exactly as last year Pique and Puyol are both out for Barca FFS. Adriano at left back, Busquets and Abidal at CB, with Mascherano in midfield. Not ideal.

Balague was on Talksport earlier saying Busquets is a disaster at centre back. Be interesting to see how he plays tonight
      - If Barca, as expected dominate possession, then he mightn't be tested too much.

What way do you see it going man, 2-0 Barca i reckon.

Nah Arsenal will score. Can see this being very close. Maybe even going into extra-time.

Mascherano doesn't really work for them either, from what I've seen. Not sure about Busquets at CB but Milito must be well and truly finished if he can't be trusted.

If Barca were at full strength I'd be confident of a 4-0. Not so sure now. Busquets' passing in midfield is key to how they play and Mascherano disrupts that. Hopefully Fabregas and van Persie aren't fully fit to compensate for Barca's big losses.

They were without Pique and Puyol last season too and they still battered them.

Looking forward to seeing Masch. Despite everything, I still like him and always enjoyed watching him play.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Absolutely shocked RVP is starting. Either its a miraculous recovery, they were playing on his injury and it wasn't as bad or their desperate? That Barca backline is horrendous, love to see Arsenal win but its a tall order and the chances of RVP & Cesc finishing the game are very slim, Wenger taking big gamble here.

I smell Ferguson-esque bull**** from Wenger.

Maybe mate, it will be well played if its true. RVO is essential if Arsenal wanna stand any chance of getting something tonight. If he is fully fit (who knows) should make a very interesting game.

Really looking forward to it, chances of a nil nil are pretty slim . Looking forward to a great game of the way football should be though

I love the way Barca play it's poetry, i think Arsenal are also fantastic but are a poor mans Barca, but i have a soft spot for underdogs. Mind you i won't lose any sleep if Arsenal lose just looking forward to the beautiful game.

Song being out for Arsenal is a big blow.

**** this could be a classic though. two teams that really don't do defending.
Just hope we don't bottle it like last season.
