Barca have conceded only 13 goals in 27 league games this year and most of them were at the start of the campaign. Just because they commit a lot of players forward, doesn't mean they don't know their defensive responsibilities and perform them excellently. I never thought I'd say it, but even Valdes looks good now.

I can see them conceding tonight due to the makeshift CB's, but generally their defensive record is almost as good as their offensive.

Re RVP: I think Wenger is taking a huge risk, not just mind games. If he was fit enough he would have at least been on the bench on Saturday. I'm sure RVP also pushed for inclusion as he would be desperate to play, but I can see it going pear shaped. I hope not as I need him back for my FF team.

The thing is though, their defence is rarely tested as the midfield and forwards keep the ball for fun hence the ball is kept away from the opposition meaning they have little defending to do.

On the odd occasion in the last few years when they have been tested at the back, they've been vulnerable.
