Whether or not they like it, footballer's are role models, it's as simple as that. It doesn't mean they have to live like monks but they have a great of responsibility yeno. they're only human and make mistakes but not getting caught up in scandals like Dyer has in his career is hardly too much to ask.

A footballer having a sex video is tacky and ill advised and the girls they smashed were hardly the love of their lives, few sluts looking to get famous by featuring in a sex tape with footballers....no surprise really.
    Here's Lampards take on it:

"But, as footballers, we had certain responsibilities that go with the job.

Mum went bananas and Dad said, ?I know kids do things like that all over the world but you’re not one of them. You’re a footballer and you have to be responsible"

    Enough said.
What is morally wrong with having group sex and/or filming it?

The words of Frank Lampard, dear god.

It's just nonsense. No one expects film or pop stars to be role models with their behaviour and young people are every bit as likely to be influenced by them. Why pick footballers?

Largely it's just peoples intellectual and moral cowardice in my opinion. Pick on an easy scapegoat to avoid having to think about larger and more complicated issues in which their own actions or those of people they like might be called into question.

It is good when footballers do set a good example but it certainly isn't a reasonable expectation of people that they do it.

Morally wrong? i just think it's something a footballer shouldn't be at, nothing more nothing less.

My comment was in relation to your closing statement of "enough said", rather than anyone disagreeing with anyone else.

So if you aren't willing to class it as morally wrong then why is it 'something a footballer shouldn't be at'?

If you don't think there is anything wrong with doing it, why shouldn't they do it?

Because i ain't taking it all that seriously thats why...not going to call it morally wrong or get on my high horse about it.

As i said before, i feel it's something a footballer shouldn't be getting caught up in.
That's my opinion, deal with it.

So it's largely an aesthetic thing for you?

Seems a bit restrictive if footballers have to not only act morally but also in good taste (for a start Steven Ireland would be ****ed).

Since you can offer no reasoning, I can only assume you're regurgitating what you've been told by others and have never considered why it should be considered wrong.

I'll do my very best to deal with it, Rudenberg, even if it troubles me so

                          - fighting with one of his team-mates during a match

                          - refusing to be on the bench when Avram Grant told him he wasn't starting.

There's probably about half a dozen other misdemeanors.
I also heard of him flicking notes at staff in a hotel where he and his mates were causing trouble. Obnoxious ****.

I bet despite the amount he's earned over the years he'll be one of those guys who runs out of money a decade on from retirement.
