There's an interesting point in today's Observer. If Terry isn't captain who should be? Gerrard's injured, Ferdinand's out for the season (supposedly)... Who's left?
In terms of seniority, experience and fitness record, the outstanding candidate is Ashley Cole.

I suppose the main issue here is that the England football team has too few decent human beings, as well as too few decent players.

The main argument people use when they are pro-Terry is that the captaincy means jack. If that's the case why give it to such a disgusting human like Terry??I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty.
