I have no anti English bias. I like many English players and I don't like others. The same with foreigners.

Wilshire is a great player and so is Kelly. Parker is another good player.

By your definition the player of the year would read something like

      Jan Åge Fjørtoft
      Marcus Stewart
      Cristophe Dugarry
      Cristiano Ronaldo
      Charlie Adam

My lack of imagination and memory prevented me fully nailing my point.
Clearly. I have no idea what the **** you're chatting about.
Are you the Judean People's Front?

to be fair it does come accross as anti english sometimes.

i think being english will give an advantage in england much like being french would in france or spanish in spain.

however good foreign players have been recognised too. I think the most important thing in this when thinking of the result is the timing of the vote. that has a huge effect on the outcome

I can understand that I'm being blamed for having a certain opinion of English players but I don't. I treat every player the same. I don't care if he is English or not. I don't care if he is a local lad or not.

Of course it will be more important if you live in Liverpool to have more local lads in the team because they will be one of you. As a foreigner I don't think it is as important.

as someone not from liverpool i think it is important to somehow retain that link. IT should not make them untouchable but i do like the idea of one or two local lads in the team or squad. I honestly believe that carra and gerrard would have been lesser players for other teams.

Gerrard would probably been as great as he has been if he played for another team because he got an exceptional talent. Carra lives so much on his passion and heart for the club. He don't have that great talent.

You could see the difference when he play for England compared to when he play for us. He is an average player when he play for the national team and always has been.

Gerrard is very often the best player on the pitch when he play for England.

i agree that carra has limitations but that didnt stop him being one of the best defenders around for 2 or 3 years.

Gerrard would have been really good wherever but i think that playing for liverpool made him more special ie it meant a bit more to him.

i dont really watch england so i wouldnt know
