Thanjk you.

Isn't wanting Madrid to beat Spurs just a tad evertonian as well though?
No, i always want english clubs to fail in europe because them succeeding increases their chances of doing better than us in the league. European success = more money and ability to attract players = being more equipped to keep us out of the top 4 or 5. Etc.
I'm not bothered either way. If Spurs lose then Craig's bitter logic holds true and I can find pleasure in it. If Madrid lose then Franco's team fail again, with the added benefit of Mourinho being a little discomfited, and I can take pleasure in that too.
It's unlikely to be but I hope it's an enjoyable game, one way or another.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
Because it's so marginal. We have much more significant things to worry about than Spurs. And if we get them right then we won't have to worry about Spurs anyway.
If you've taken any offence at my use of the word then you're far too quick to do so. I said I agreed with it so if I was insulting you I was insulting myself too.

I didnt take 'offence' at it, i just find the use of the word 'bitter' as somewhat baffling. We are one of 6 teams who'll be genuinely looking to claim a top 4 spot next season and wanting whatever could help our chances to happen isnt something i would correlate with 'bitterness' - it's just normal. Obviously i dont want anything to happen that would strengthen the chances of our competitors in that respect. It'd be weird if i did, surely.

Spurs fans singing 'Are you watching Arsenal' cringe.com
Wait to you're playing Champions League football for years and years like Arsenal have before getting all cocky and smug.
Spurs fans are notorious when it comes to singing about Arsenal. First thing their fans did after the final whistle vs Milan, was start singing about Arsenal
We'll get as cocky and smug as we like; they sung it to us for X amount of years... If we're not allowed to enjoy nights like this, when can we!?
It's our first foray into champs league football and not only have we gone further than our main rivals this year, we've also gone further than any other english club have in their first year in the comp (I believe).

Bizarre small time weirdos.
We sing about them about as much as you write **** about us!

I knew you'd bite within seconds
Of course you're allowed to enjoy nights like this. Singing about your rivals is a bit lame IMO though, i'd be inclined to enjoy it by singing about my own club. But each to their own.
Same goes for the 'we got further in our first year...' cup, which is ultimately meaningless. Adrian Durham was talking about Spurs fans and their attitudes re the CL recently and for once, he got it spot on. Your lot talk (and gloat) as if what you're doing this season is some miracle, way beyond your capabilities when, in reality, it's probably exactly where you should be, given the outlay you've had. But the whole 'cant believe we are here' mentality makes your club look small and as though you're punching well well above your weight and dont belong there.
