In the witness statement the player said that exposing his personal life would have a "devastating effect on his marriage, on his wife and particularly their children".
Did you care about this when you cheated on your wife in the first place? HUH?! ****.

Mods, I think we need a dedicated Imogen affair speculation thread.

Liberal Democrat MP John Hemming today named Ryan Giggs in a parliamentary urgent question on super injunctions.

                    He said:

“With several thousand people already having named Ryan Giggs on Twitter…”

He was then cut short by the Speaker.

                    Attorney General Dominic Grieve replied:

“It is our duty as parliamentarians to maintain the rule of law.”

Just tuned into BBC Parliament hoping I could catch some of the action but they've moved onto something else...

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The attorney-general is not even considering asking for an investigation into the Herald.

As for injunctions here. It is a tricky one. They are usually served upon and notified to traditional media (tv, radio and newspapers) so only they have notice of them. It is in fact a grey area whether the man in the street can be prosecuted for breach of them
That's bizarre, I never realised the systems between the two countries would be so different. Why don't the Scottish press just out them all from the start then?

By not holding his hands up and just saying "yep, it was me, it's a fair cop. I shagged that tidy Welsh desperado who was on Big Brother behind my wife's back, you've got me." He's just made it all worse. Seriously would anyone have given two ****s if the story had just come out? But by drawing attention to it and trying to make himself out as the innocent party, he now looks like more of a **** then ever before.

It's not a shock, RG has previous. A friend of mine has thrown him out of a nightclub in Manchester before after seeing him get narky with a lass
