And whilst I'm typing, do you and Rudo want to read the whole thread. Particularly the bit when I say:

I obviously don't condone sending bombs through the post, but there is something about Neil Lennon that makes me think he's a bit of a cunt. Not that, that's a reason to try and kill him mind, just an observation.

I was asked why I think he's bit of a cunt, to which I replied and you've then tried to make out I said it's ok for him to be sent letter bombs.

And as for my non-*referanced* opinion, it's based on him:

Telling Berwick Rangers their pitch was ****.
Telling Berwick Rangers their facilities were ****.
Serving touch line bans.
Always appearing before the Scottish FA.
Telling other players he is rich.
Scrapping with Ally McCoist.
He was an average footballer, yet he gave the big-I-am.
He has an air of self-importance.
And with thanks to Dave from Chester, he headbutted Shearer's boot.

Berwick Rangers? Their pitch probably is ****e... Their players are pure scum aswell (player got sacked last week for saying he wish the bomb killed Lennon).And the lack of reasons your giving there mostly relate to the same thing, scrap lead to seeing SFA, to being banned. And McCoist supposedly called him a 'Fenian *******', which I would freak out about if I was in Lennons situation.

I'm not aware of the incident where Lennon mocks Berwick, but I'd hazard a guess that he was disrespectful to them and then the 16 year old reacts, as most 16 year olds do, immaturely and makes a stupid comment.

I hardly see it as justification for Neil Lennon to be disrespectful about an entire club.

I'm not defending what the kid said, it just comes across as you being wildly irrational to call their plays scum when one 16 year old has made a stupid comment and the club has sacked him for it.

I'm sure the Berwick Rangers players/fans/staff gave Lennon a warm welcome themselves and treated him with great respect...somehow i don't think Lennon would be disrespectful back if this was the case.
Don't forget a lot of people at these minnow Scottish Clubs, follow Rangers hence they'll give him all the abuse of the day, he'll maybe bite back, and they'll go blabbing about how much of a scumbag Neil Lennon is. Typical.

as for the bust up with McCoist...you seem to have forgotten McCoist instigated the whole thing...both get done by the SFA, yet McCoist appeals his two-match touchline and is successful, but Lennon gets a further 4 game suspension...Funny that.

He seems to have this air of self-importance, with the whole big-I-am attitude. His smug face, despite being an average footballer, is not warranted and now he's taken this from his playing career to his managerial career.

He was a thuggish player, he's a thuggish manager and he belittle's people and smaller clubs to give himself a congratulatory pat on his own back and make him feel bigger than he actually is.

Request from a Celtic fan

I received the following request by a Celtic fan, it is terrible that people would resort to such violence.

Hi

I was hoping to appeal to your better nature as football fans!

I’m Celtic supporter and as many of you will be aware of our manager, Neil Lennon, is the victim of horrendous sectarianism abuse. He has received death threats and bullets and recently this week, parcel bombs addressed to him were intercepted by police. Our manager is under severe security as the threat to his life is very real. I know I’m a Celtic supporter, but as everyone on his forum are football fans, you can understand how much these bomb threats are completely beyond the game of football. It’s gone too far.
What we are asking every club we can get is that on the 18th minute (Neil Lennon’s squad number when he played for Celtic) of Real Madrid’s next game, that supporters can have a 2minute applause and chant Neil Lennon’s name as a sign of support for our manager. It’s time for ALL football fans to unite and drive away the hatred that is ruining our manager’s life.

I was going to ask if its possible if the fans could do this this weekend? its would be greatly appreciated the more coverage of support for Neil the better as far as I am concerned.

Its time to show football fans united at the end of the day thats what it is about football not race or religion!! there is no reason why he should be treated like a second class citizen i would be extremley greatful if you could help with this – any questions please feel free to ask.
