City could nick it by the odd goal but 1-1 draw i reckon.

Both teams badly need the points for different purposes, but with home advantage i can see Blackburn taking a point.

City are 4 points ahead though, and have two games in hand.
          - Still an outside chance of 5th but 4th is all but gone.

Tbh i still can't make up my mind whether i want us to play in the Europa next season...it's a chance of Silverware(and we've been starved of it for too long) but that Thurs, Sun lark does my head in.

never easy getting over the line, couple of wobbles and they'll start to worry about being in the top 4.

I hope so, but Blackburn's recent form is woeful 4 draws and 5 defeats in their last 9 games You'd have to fancy City to beat them based on that
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

What we need is squaddies who can come in and do a decent job when they're needed in the team (obviously they wont come into the side and be world class). As opposed to the likes of Poulsen, Konchesky, Jova etc, who would basically come into the side and be actually ****, rather than just 'not brilliant'. If you see what i mean.

That kind of depth is what has done for the mancs over the years, where they bring in players like Park, Jonny Evans etc, and they do a decent job, without putting the team/result in jeopardy too often.
I'd agree on some (clearly we need an established left back for instance). But if we replace players who don't play with those who do then I think the depth looks better that way. The problem hasn't really been one of sheer numbers of players in the squad but the quantity of options from which the manager is likely to chose.

I agree with your general principle though. I just don't see a lot of point on splashing out at this point in our squad development for players who just make up the numbers.

Oh aye, 'just making up the numbers' isnt what we need. But people to come and hold their own, much like how Spearing is doing, and indeed the two kids at fullback, wouldnt go amiss.

If they lose tonight they will be 4 points ahead with one game in hand.

If they lose that too, they will be ****ting themselves.
