So it was your decision to sell Poulsen to us for £5m and loan Aquilani on a free and then back out of the deal to sign him.

You shafted us and post as nothing happened

re Juan Mata. Agent working on deal is based in England and has been liasing with #LFC and #AFC on the player's availability and value.

Someone on radio has suggested we have got in principle deals for Downing, Adam and Mata done but we want to offload some players so that we reduce our wage bill during July and August.

Sounds financially viable but I'm not sure any club would agree to:

                  a) pay wages of players for an extra month before they leave
                  b) train players ditto above
                  c) Not have the cash in their bank account to buy new players

Ergo I have deduced this is probably more Twitter induced bollocks.

So basically that translates to his agent working on trying to get as much money physically possible

In fairness most of the players we are looking to get rid of could do with as much training as they can get.

... not that it would make them any better.

I saw it quoted somewhere that our supposed list of deadwood (Cole, Jovanavic) etc were costing us in the region of £5m a month in wages! Those two alone are on £100k a week so they costing us a million.

**** training them, we need to have some unfortunate accidents!!!

I worry about Arsenal getting involved. Nasri could be sold pretty soon and they'll Mata as a possible replacement. We should throw in a £25m bid right now.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

Arsenal are going to have to do something this summer and pretty quickly - you'd imagine Mata or Hazzard or even both would be signings they'll be looking at pretty closely.

                                From Facebook:

                                Jen Chang

Graham Hunter is the latest reputable Spain-based journo to confirm that Juan Mata's reps are in negotiations with more than one Premier League club. As I've mentioned here previously on Facebook/Twitter and as Sid Lowe has reported, one of those teams is Liverpool - I believe the other is Arsenal. Liverpool actually spoke to Mata's reps long before Arsenal did, at least twice in the past two months.
However, now Arsenal has entered the picture, it complicates things as Mata is a known admirer of Arsenal and Wenger's philosophy. No idea who Mata will choose, but both teams have factors going for them, Liverpool's strong selling point is the new "project" and its Latin contingent -- Arsenal of course is that it can offer CL play and his own personal leanings, although Cesc leaving could also be a factor.
