You didn't need to say, it is simply what you are doing.

Just heard on Sky Sports News, two premier league clubs have agreed the release clause for Mata and are talking to him/ his representatives - Hunter mentioned Arsenal, are we the other one?

According to @JamieDalton82 and @PeavesAFC appears only #AFC and #THFC met #Mata's buy-out clause (according to Sky's Spanish Correspondent)

I was thinking that perhaps we could use Aquilani as bait - he would seem a fairly natural fit for a team like Valencia and would surely make it a do-able deal fom our end.

re Juan Mata. Agent working on deal is based in England and has been liasing with #LFC and #AFC on the player's availability and value.

I'm sure Mata would have spoken to Reina, Torres, Fabregas etc and given a choice of signing for us or Arsenal I think that they would advise him to sign for us.

I think we'll get him. Our interest was said to have been lodged ages ago and we spoke to his people several times. Arsenal are johnny-come-latelys, probably got giddy after seeing the U21 tournament.

You often see players sign for a club and then come out and say it was because they felt more wanted, that the club had worked hard and been pursuing him for longer than anyone else. Think that stuff is important to a player. Fingers crossed anyway.

                          Are we winning?

Not too high then, it would be folly to fork out £15m+ on Downing if we can get him at that price.

                                So Spurs are interested?

Last week the word was they had to sell to buy.
