Does anyone know where is the Mata vs Downing Poll is?
Was just curious to see the percentages

I must say i do not see the understanding of signing Downing as our transfer policy is to sign young players with a good sell on value but if thats what Kenny wants who are we to argue.

The facts are that Mata is and will be a much greater player that Downing could ever be and the fact that we are short up front and that Mata could also play in that position makes his signing a no brainer.

i would love them both but if i had to choose Mata all the way

Mata isn't going to happen. Where would he fit in? Personally, I just don't think Kenny was looking for that type of player this summer.

IMO we could still buy Mata and play Kuyt as either a wide player or backup striker. We need a backup striker and we can't trust Ngog so Mata coming in gives us that option that I've mentioned.
