Aye most probably. I suspect there's a huge difference in wages too.

Yeah, the match threads are going to be unbearable every time he does something aswell. City v Swansea was horrendous. "I TOLD YOU AGUERO WAS GOOD!" "LOOK!!! Carroll is ****ing crap, we could have had Aguero" etc etc. Though them people seemed to disappear when he was ****e yesterday.Originally posted by rcasemore View Postamused at the bitching on here about who we didn't sign
why not concentrate on what we have got and be thankful we're not where we were 12 months ago.

lot of bitching going on here as to who we didn't sign ! ok joking aside amazing how many people who were dissapointed with the signings we have made come on here and slagged the signings off yet have not had the balls to publicly criticise the manager as it is he who wanted those players!
*disclaimer Bender is not having a go at the manager!*Last edited by Bender; 22-08-11, 04:02 PM.

well perhaps it's not bitching but so much questioning of our signings this early in the season is worrying! I mean it's a team game afterall I myself would have liked either or both but it's not happening probably for 2 main reasons and you get on with it
Take Aguero - he's cost City £35M probably upfront which is rare in football and he's on 200k per week over 5 years (not taking into consideration any contract renewals which no doubt will push him up to £250k or so when they take place) that is a HUGE amount of money to outlay also we're in the situation that we cannot offer CL football that in itself is also something that will atract players.
I suppose we've no idea if we were in for them or not and probably never will know, all we do know for sure is we'll be playing against them rather than in our team.
We've had a cracking summer for bringing in new players and we should feel pretty pleased with what we've managed to do.

Sorry I'm not contributing much to the conversation, but I'm pretty peeved at what we've got for similar money.
That's exactly it - I'm not disappointed with who we have bought but more at how much we've paid for them...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

Well Mata's entire fee would be under £40m including his wages, which if true would be under £58k per week..Hardly big expense..Originally posted by Bender View PostAguero's 5 year contract is worth a basic £90million
@Fourth_Official
Juan Mata has signed for Chelsea, 5 year deal worth £3m a year, he'll go back to Valencia to say farewell #CFCLast edited by Mostar; 22-08-11, 04:31 PM.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
