Strange turn of events with him, looks a decent enough player, certainly for West Ham anyway.

He's had plenty of problems in the past and if the guy he's with is helping him with his career and getting him focused on his football (which seems to be the case) they no way should he move and get caught up with that lot.
Could be out of the frying pan into the fire though what with 'Arry in charge down there though

So WTF does an "appointed" agent do? work out the players contracts, on behalf of the club? make sure they are well represented TO the club? stinks of a clash of loyalties. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Not entirely sure but Curtis is always their go-to agent for every deal they do.Originally posted by kev776 View Post

Excerpt from an article in the guardianOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostNot entirely sure but Curtis is always their go-to agent for every deal they do.
Towards the end of last year, Morrison was invited to a meeting with the football agent Mark Curtis to see if he wanted to become one of his clients. Curtis does this a fair bit with Allardyce's players. At West Ham, he either represents or has links with Allardyce, Kevin Nolan, James Tomkins, Jack Collison, Matt Jarvis, Andy Carroll, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Adrian. Look through his history and there is a fairly astounding pattern of players signing up to him from Allardyce teams. He also has a chequered past of his own, with an official warning from the Football Association after the 2008 investigation into Luton Town's illegal transfer dealings.
Morrison was not keen but, since then, his complaint is that he has felt under considerable pressure from Allardyce and Nolan to change his mind, claiming it is brought up on an almost daily basis. His grievance is that he wanted to go into training to learn and improve, not to have endless conversations about an agent he did not want to employ.

Any of you Twitterati's seeing anything about Carlton Palmer ?
He's said Black players need to man up when given racist abuse on the field of play, he's qualified it by saying things like...'What go's on or is said on the pitch stays on the pitch'....'people will say things to try and intimidate you out there, doesn't mean they are racist'. etc.
Bound to kick up a storm.
edit: Can't find the thread about such issues, please feel free to move this if it still exists mods.
'Grow up and accept it!' Palmer believes racism victims should concentrate on playing instead of reacting to the abuse.
Carlton Palmer believes that footballers who suffer racial abuse whilst playing should just "grow up and accept" the barbs.
The former England international said he was the subject of discriminatory taunts in his professional career, but that he just "laughed it off."
The ex-Sheffield Wednesday defender believes opponents use it merely as a technique to distract an opposing player from playing their normal game.
'If you want to intimidate me about my colour, which has happened loads of times, then I’ll just laugh it off. If I’m stupid enough to get involved with you because you’re calling me a black something or other, I’ll just laugh it off.
'I played at West Ham and they were chucking bananas on the pitch, I ate the bananas. I love them! It doesn’t worry me. I’m not interested in that. I’m just interested in winning the football game.
'If someone is on a football pitch or in a boxing ring or whatever, you’re in there to win. It is part and parcel of it [to try to put someone off]. And you have to grow up and accept that. And anybody who thinks different is lying. It’s been going on for years.
When you say it’s not right, if I can intimidate you by saying something that puts you off your game, why isn’t that right?
'That’s not racism. Not for me, it’s not. It depends on the context. Whenever it’s happened to me, and I’m not mentioning any names, I never thought that person was a racist. If they can get me sent off because I react, that’s different. On the pitch, the laws are different.
'Some people for me, and some players, some black players, have used this as an excuse. And then the ones that have actually been racially abused, those incidents are not being dealt with.'
On FIFA president Sepp Blatter’s claim that on-pitch racism can be settled with a handshake at the end of the game, Palmer added:
'I agree with Blatter 100%. At the end of the day it’s an easy excuse for colour. Just be the best you can be. And that’s what I’ve done – 750 league games, 18 England caps. You can call me black – it doesn’t matter to me'.
