Spurs are a bunch of idiots, but if there's one thing they do manage to do well, it's milking the mancs for money when they sell them a player

it's funny - they don't get it, in fact a lot of football fans don't, certainly the mancs who seemed to think they were unlucky, certainly chelsea and city who are only mentioned because by pure chance a billionaire decided he'd throw them a few hundred million every year for players, and lot of the media - they all seem to thing that all you need is to spend money/buy players to beat barca

well....you are not going to sign pigue/puyol/alves/busquets/xavi/iniesta/villa/pedro/messi...

so it doesn't matter how much u spend or who you sign - you'll still get outclassed.

Totally agree.

I don't think there's enough truly world class players out there who the big clubs could sign to lay down a worthwhile challenge to Barca. They have the best players, all playing together. IMO Messi, Xavi and Iniesta are the 3 finest players in the world, so short of buying one of them - or some of the incredible supporting cast of Busquets, Villa, Pedro, Alves or whoever - then everyone can just forget it.

As I've said before I think Barca's biggest obstacle to a clutch of more European Cups is desire/motivation.

You would need to give them a full season first to become accustomer to one another obviously, but that team is generally full of hard working intelligent players. No Ronaldo's. I actually can't see a team with Ronaldo in it being able to beat barca more than on the odd occasion. It takes a complete team effort to beat them.

The Midfield is too slow and their pressing game non existent. They would get mullered

When I made the teams I tried to think of players to properly match the positions/match up vs Barca and they were who sprung to mind. Agger is a left footed player and would be of value in regards to playing the ball out of defence, especially in what would be such a possession based game. Suarez would be there similarily to Pedro. To work ****ing hard up top to win the ball back, and also to be able to pass the ball in small one twos with little flicks and also because he knows to finnish damn well... The only other similar player is Tevez who I thought of and he isn't as suited in a LF type of position.
