They're weakening their squad by doing this kind of thing and whilst it'll raise much needed funds to sign badly needed 1st teamers, injuries and suspensions should leave them struggling to fill gaps.

In fairness Brown misses half the season through injury, and Gibson is crap. The only one who plays anything close to regularly is O'Shea. So I don't think it will affect them much

Fergie was not going to go for Jones this summer but was forced to do so because of the interest in him. I think it might change his summer plans a bit, although he'll 12 million from that charity auction. Still leaves roughly 30 million on Young and De Gea and and then another midfielder.
