Is the game that free-flowing now anyway?
Yes i don't want it to be like gridiron a break every 5 seconds, but tech has come so far why should it take long that long to make a decision.

How many times in a game is there a contentious offside? (obviously more than goal line contentious decisions) How about giving a team a number of appeals (like in Tennis) where if they don't agree with the offside call they got to video judge?

I'm just not sure how it would work?

If a team is wrongly pulled up for offside and all the players stop but the striker scores then what happens? The goal is awarded even though the defending team have all played to the whistle?

Maybe you could do it the same as referrals in cricket for offside. Give each time say 2 chances to appeal an offside decision. If they appeal successfuly it shows the linesman is a cheat and they keep the remaining 2 chances. If they are not successful, they go down to 1 appeal remaining and the linesman is vindicated.

Players are always complaining they are on-side so would put some onus on them to see whether they really think so.

Obviously you play to the whistle (and not to the video)
If a goal is offside (we saw two in the Dortmund vs Malaga game) then no goal, freekick to the defending team continue the play.

If the goal is ruled incorrectly offside, then goal. If you give a team a chance to make 2 incorrect decisions, then they'd use them wisely.

Goal line technology works for me as it is a clear yes or no with an offside you have far more grey areas for example interfering with play.

I appreciate incorrect decisions makes football exciting and a talking point, then why introduce any tech?
Football is a huge business now and incorrect goal/penalty decisions can cost £ms, why not use technology to minimise incorrect decisions?

Suarez reminds me a of a Sehwag though. Even if he was 5 yards offside he'd still appeal that he wasn't and the fans would be proper pissed at the wasting of an appeal

Surely thats the what happens when you play offside anyway, if like that Arsenal team you can play it well you'll catch out the strikers the majority of the time, if not sorry it's a goal.

The only issue is that I don't think Ref's or Linesman know the offside rule fully so the fear is they'd make the wrong decision even with technology
