    You want convincing?

    Fine...here it is:

However I will add, that I am left footed, and in my last season of football played most of the games at left back (legs couldn't do left wing anymore ) - so i may have a bit of bias towards the position

in fact **** it - kenny, get me fit over the summer and i'll play left back for the year - i'm technically better than konchesky and fitter than aurelio despite my heavy drinking
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Whilst i do agree we do need a centre back too (as well as a top centre mid and a two wide men with pace/creativity - not much to ask is it/) if it came down to it - one or the other no ifs or buts

£20m on a centre back who does really well

        or

£20m on left back who does really well

I'd pick the left back - we don't have any! haha - i think with carra/skrtel - try and get 15 games out of agger, and kelly/wilson/kyriakos all here - we'd have enough to cope if we had too

        but left back

we have robinson who whilst capable for 5 to 10 games as cover as he develops is well off being first team, and aurelio who is good for about, 1 in 4 games - so we might get 10 games out of him - yep it's going to take some convincing to get me to prioritise a centre back over left back
I think we can do without one till Jan and see how we get by. Personally, I'd shell that 20m on a good winger.

What, like we've done this season and last season and the season before?

I just found the comment funny, like 15 games the whole season for a Premier League footballer

It could be entirely feasible that Agger recovers from his current injury and gets some good game time next season - unless it's been the same injury recurring, he's just been the victim of bad luck. No reason why that couldnt improve next season.

In that case its perfectly feasible for Poulsen to stay at the club and start performing at a level as good as Xabi Alonso was for us

hoping agger becomes injury free (which all sensible LFC fans want) doesnt not mean he will be.

very frustrating but he wont will he.

Saw a great article on here some time in the past explaining how these spanish escape clauses work. Not quite as straight forward as Footy Manager makes it.
