He may not be going to Cityh after all

Corinthians release official statement pulling out of Tevez transfer. Cite Brazilian transfer window deadline as reason. How convenient.

Manchester City have agreed to pay out £38million for Atletico Madrid’s Argentina striker Sergio Aguero.

City have targeted the 23-year-old as the man to replace compatriot Carlos Tevez, and they finally agreed to match the release-clause figure in his contract. However, Tevez’s move to Corinthians was on the brink of collapse as the Brazilian transfer deadline loomed.

Aguero, who scored 20 goals in 32 games last season, had been holding out for an offer from Real Madrid but that looks unlikely with Jose Mourinho determined to sign Brazil forward Neymar.

City have offered Aguero, who is Diego Maradona’s son-in-law, £152,000 a week after tax, making him one of the highest-paid players in the world, and hope to have a decision by the end of the week. Atletico are keen to close the deal so they can find signings.

Tevez has gone on holiday in Europe as talks continue over his future. There is a small difference in the transfer payment terms between City and Corinthians and chances of a deal are fading. The deal has to be completed when the FA close for business on Wednesday, or Tevez will be left looking for a move to a European club.
Not a hope in hell we'd be able to compete with that, overall he'll be on well over £200,000 a week, some of these wages City are offering are just sickening, how they can comply to the FFP rules is beyond me, Aguero and Yaya Toure will be on £500,000 a week between them which makes £26m on players wages just between the 2 of them a year
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

Thats more like £300,000 a week before tax if its £152,000 after. Which is mental money. No one is worth paying £15.6m a year.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

The same way they arranged the new deal for stadium naming rights, shirt deal and new academy and training grounds.

They will use the similar tactics to continue to pump their own money into MCFC but I just cannot understand their long term future profitability plans.

They have no history, no fan base etc and by the time they have some success on the pitch (like Chavs) they will be billions of pounds in losses.

                                Its Rafas fault

He had the chance to sign him when he was 17 and turned it down.
Ok he would have cost about £15m but look at what happened to the scum when they took a chance on an unkown called Ronaldo for £12m.

Its a shame as I think he would be great for us but that ship has long sailed now.
