      My Christ that's some spin.

In your mind, if a salesman comes to your door and says the competitor's product is good but mine is better, is he trying to sell them both to you?

      Actually please don't answer that

I think that we already have seen that Torres already regrets the move. His body language hasn't exactly been great.

The only things he comes out with is things he says to make him more popular with the Chelsea fans. Things you expect a very expensive signing to say. Things his club also want him to say.
I'd assume their conversation would be more riveting than a series of yes/no questions. Ultimately, he's going to encourage him to sign for Chelsea ahead of us. The only way that might not be the case is if any chance of Chelsea signing him is for some reason gone beyond all doubt.

Sergio Aguero has reportedly told the Athletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo that he wishes to leave the club in the summer, prompting interest from a host of clubs including Liverpool and Tottenham.

Aguero has been in fantastic form for Athletico Madrid this season, scoring 17 goals and providing 2 assists in 31 games for Los Colchoneros this season. Whilst Aguero has impressed, Athletico have faltered and look set to lose Aguero, Forlan and De Gea as they cannot offer them European football.

Tottenham launched a late bid for Aguero in January, offering a fee believed to be in the region of €38 million, but respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has insisted the Argentinean would be available for around €45 million.

“Regarding Kun Aguero,” Balague stated via social media network Twitter. “He would cost 45m euros (plus taxes if At M [Athletico Madrid refuses to sell). Interest from Man City, Real Madrid and Liverpool.”

Whilst Spurs were not mentioned, they will certainly do their utmost to try signing one of the most exciting prospects in world football for a second time. However, their inability to offer him Champions League football could provide a possible obstacle, enabling the history of Real Madrid and financial power of Manchester City to snuff out their chances.

Liverpool once again have a large transfer kitty to delve into during the summer, with new owners the Fenway Sports Group set to hand Kenny Dalglish up to £50 million for squad additions. They seem to have more pressing problems with squad depth – including the apparent need for defensive reinforcements – but look at Aguero as a potential wide player.

Aguero is good friends with in-form Liverpool midfielder Maxi Rodriguez, having played alongside him at club and international level, whilst many are suggesting the success of Fernando Torres’ move to Anfield could prove the perfect template for a successful transition to the Premier League.

Whilst Liverpool and Tottenham are evidently keen, a number of other teams will surely be on red alert – Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Inter Milan have all been recently linked with the South American – ensuring that no team are currently stand-out favourites for his signature.

Whilst Athletico Madrid are still waiting for official confirmation of Aguero’s desire to leave the Vicente Calderon, Quique Sanchez Flores will be preparing for a future without the diminutive attacker as Balague insisted he has told the Madrid hierarchy his career lies elsewhere.

“Kun Aguero has not asked officially 2 be transferred,” Balague tweeted. “No transfer requests exist in Spain. IT HAS BEEN REPORTED HE TOLD CHAIRMAN he wants out.”

Of course he would say that Chelsea is a better choice than us. The reason being that he play for them. What I'm trying to say is that he wouldn't say that we are a bad choice but Chelsea is the better one.

I'm not going to take any article seriously, if the author cannot correctly spell 'Atletico'...

He is also a more or less no risk signing even if he would be very expensive. Say that we sign him for €40m. We could easily get almost all of that back in two three years time. Maybe even more.

Would love him here. Him and Suarez either side of Carroll with SG behind and overlapping fullbacks is jizztastic.

                    Can't see it happening though.
                    3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I can't see this happening myself. I'd cream my pants if we bought him myself.

i am assuming 4-2-3-1 but the attack would be:

                                carroll

                                aguero meireles suarez

                                lucas gerrard

so no wingers then: hopefully carroll will fit in this system!

this formation will destroy defences, let's hope that this is a dream come true.
