I think he'd do well in the Italian league, not sure that Juventus is the right club for him, if of course that is true.. for me they seem to be the Italian equivalent of Athletico.... and do Juve really have 45 million plus euros to spend on one player... and they also did not qualify for CL or EL net season..
A step sideways it seems..... I'd have though he'd have higher ambitions than Juve...... I hope it is true because I'd hate to see him at Chelsea or Man City...
I wished we were showing the same ambition..... we need 1 or 2 Marque signing all very well spending silly money on average english players....and KUN would be my choice..... Him and louie would be
Anyway how's you Stevie lad?...........

That's actually good news for us I think. He would seriously strengthen our rivals. And lets be honest, he was never going to come here.
If we can do well and get into a title challenging position in a couple of years, then we can be back in for him, and we'll have more chance of actually signing the guy.K ris90210

in any case it's better than him going to either city or chelsea, and Juve are far more than an Italian equivalent of AM. They are record holders for championships and if not forced in to serie b, they would probably be challenging still.
If anything it at least shows that history does matter, and that you can sign big names despite not being in the CL for a couple of seasons, which so give us some comfort. Juve will soon be back in top-4 challenging, and hopefully we will as well.
And I would also love to see us make a big name signing, but tbh. as it looks now I'd rather we focus on getting a strong squad than a strong 11 without decent rotation.

I completely agree with your thinking here Kris and hope that would be the case...I actually get the feeling if he does go to Juve and he does well, he'll end up at AC Milan in a year or two or back in Spain at Barca for mega bucks.Originally posted by kris90210 View PostThat's actually good news for us I think. I actually disagree with you on this point Kris... I actually am of the opinion if the club made a bid for for him, he'd come to Liverpool and choose us over City or Chelsea to that matter.. (like I say my opinion)

Juve are like the Italian version of us. Had some big problems in the last few seasons which has seen them quickly fall down the ranks in the league. They are now trying to build again, but it seems it will take them longer than it took us. They also have a few CL trophies as wel as losing a lot of CL finals.96 Never Forgotten

I'm talking present day Darkon: and not if's and but's and what was....like us Juve are not the team they were... and like us it will take a little for them to get back to the top. and of course it is better than him going to one of the current top 4 clubs in the EPL. and finally I did say IMO...

Totally agree with you on the above...

I agree with you on this too....... we really do need squad depth and strength... we need to build, but we should have a 1 or 2 above average players to help us push on......Of the player links we have had The only player I am very happy about is Henderson actually and we've got him... The others which are mainly British I cannot say I am at all excited about..

Agree about it being a side step if he should go to Juve. Would show a lack of ambition to me and wanting to be a big fish in a small pond. I doubt it will come off TBH but posted it in good faith.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I agree with you it it very much like a mirror image in a sense, bar a few legal matters LOLOriginally posted by Fernandinho View PostJuve are like the Italian version of us. Like I said to Drakon my comparison is based on my opinion and I am fully aware of Juvey's History and past achievements... but my opinion is based on current the situation......
