Surely it's Rafa. I can't see anyone else apart from P.Gaurdiola but he won't be going there.
Mourinho will stay another year at least to try and improve on this season.
Surely Rafa let it go man.

Wouldn't surprise me if Roman went for Rafa.

It's well known Roman is desperate for the Champions League, and there's few better managers out there than Rafa when it comes to getting the results in that Comp.

Too many issues at that club for Rafa. Mourinho's ties with the club, John Terry's preceived player power and an owner who seeks th advise of close friends (Gus Hiddink) on the potential transfer targets and the managers tactics .

I agree thou there is non better out there then Rafa at the moment.

Rafa's desperate to get back into Management so i say he'd be up for going to Chelsea.

Knowing the way Abramovich works, he'd want a quick fix - get a manager like Rafa in for 2 seasons or so and go all out for the Champions League then get rid of him.

Aye England's Brave John Terry seems to have a lot(too much) power at the Club...just a complete mouth piece he is. Chelsea really need to be looking at replacing Terry and Lampard as much as anything.

Whoever takes over there, has a massive job on their hands.

              Aye forgot about Lampard too.

He is a huge problem at that club, in more ways then one.

He makes any possible midfield formation completely ineffective in style and shape. There just is no room (pun not intended) for him at his age and style of play. You just can't have a passenger player playing at a top club at premiership/European level now.

Hansen has been saying it's going to be Van Basten.

Rafa would be great for them. European experience, Premier League experience, and he'd get the best out of Torres which would please Abramovich. Significant transfer budget behind him as well for once, Rafa could be a great option.

This has to be a joke........

Reason Chelsea dropped of this season is because he hasn't been available all season, same goes for Terry. Injury free seasons for those two and Chelsea would have walked this league.

Lampard has been a massive player at Chelsea for years, but we'll what formation the new manager wants.

Lampard like Gerrard is an attacking midfielder, so there'll always be question marks over tactical positional play if they are no longer played in the hole of the striker.
                      Forwards.......

Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Carlo Ancelotti parted company with the club today (Sunday, 22 May).

The owner and board would like to thank Carlo for his contribution and achievements since taking over as manager in July 2009, which included winning the Double for the first time in the club's history.

However, this season's performances have fallen short of expectations and the club feels the time is right to make this change ahead of next season's preparations.

Carlo will always be welcome at Stamford Bridge, where he will be given the reception and respect his position in our history deserves.

Chelsea's long-term football objectives and ambitions remain unchanged and we will now be concentrating all our efforts on identifying a new manager.

There will be no further comment until that appointment is made.

                          What history?
Klopp on LFC vs MUFC (March 9th 2016) - "This is why I love football. This is why we watched it when we were young. I can still not have enough of it."

Always, keep your face to the sun, and shadows will fall behind you.

It's hardly a surprise but an incredibly stupid decision, one of the best managers around needing time to rebuild and ageing and downwards going team.

Not sure who they will recruit, not many world class managers free right now, so it will probably be one of the younger managers around.

                              Very harsh.

                              Hope they don't get Hiddink.

                                Disagree.

Lampard's played 30 games this season, ok he usually plays a lot more than that but it's still a decent enough number. He hasn't been anywhere near as influential this season compared to seasons gone by. Look at all Chelsea big games in the last few months, he went missing totally.

Terry's played 45 times, only one less than last season when Chelsea won the Double.

To say they wouldv'e walked the league if Lampard and Terry were fit more is just silly imo. What about United's injury problems - Ferdinand, Vidic, Valencia, Park etc...what about Arsenal's...Vermalean, Walcott, Van Persie etc...

The fact is Chelsea have looked vulnerable all season. Suspect defensively, ineffective in midfield and toothless up front ever since they bought Torres.

Terry, Lampard, Essien and Malouda, all big players for them haven't performed.
