Pep Guardiola is to leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season and will be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.

At least Ancelotti won't be going to one of our direct rivals.

it would be amazing if it is anything but city, they have done groundwork for years to get him in place

Maybe he only takes on world class teams because lesser players don't understand his level of football?

If he comes to EPL I think he will choose Man City or Chelsea for that reason. Mancs cannot compete financially & the existing squad is ****e compared to Man City & Chelsea.
You didn't spot the name 'Fredo' when replying chaps?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Think the jury is still out on that one. His Barca side were possibly the greatest of all time, but he inherited amazing players at the right time. Meanwhile he went to Bayern and took over the treble winners.

Wherever he goes he will have cash to spend and he will inevitably attract top players. More likely than not he will follow his career path of walking from top side to top side and we may never really get to see him work with lesser players and bring them to a level above themselves.

But....... I think the Prem will be his greatest challenge. Very competitive league and its unlike Spain & Germany where you have maybe one rival to fight off. I'd also question whether his possession based football would be ideally suited to this league.

It will be interesting to see. Personally I think there is no chance he goes United as they look a bit of a challenge.
                          Forwards.......

It'll be City for sure IMO. He'll be working with Beguiristain and Soriano again. It's why City got these guys in 2 years ago. They did their homework and have been planning for this with Pellegrini handing over to Guardiola.

United will end up with Giggseh for about 8 months until he's sacked followed by Neville. They're royally ****ed now that Klopp and Ancelotti are also unattainable.

Germans are so efficient! Guys not even leaving for 6 months and they've already sorted the new man!

Man Utd will have Mourinho to go for, or maybe attempt to get Conte from Italy. Otherwise, I could see a left wing appointment like Pochettino or Emery.

Imagine a Premier League with Simeone, Klopp, Guardiola, and even Mourinho.

The likes of De Boer, Schmidt, and even Emery could be one for Wenger when he leaves Arsenal.
