Didi Hamman mentioned Raul as assistant cos he speaks the lingo and him and Pep are friends.

That'd be class. Wouldn't go down well in Madrid though.

Madrid booted him out, so I'm guessing that wouldn't be a big problem for Raul

Ballague asked Pep about Liverpool - he said it was a club with a lot of history but not enough investment to challenge!

Did a great job at Barca. Doing a Mourinho here. Going to a top club where winning the league is expected. Brave move.

Do you think that's braver than turning round the fortunes of a club not expected to win the league Danny? I'm not specifically talking about us but perhaps Arsenal would have been a tougher challenge. Perhaps it is brave but it's not really going to prove his ability imo

cushy move. Really would have liked to see him going to a more challenging position. Dortmund have lost ground this year and will most likely lose their best players in the summer.

I'm not sure if Mourinho did that as much to be honest, yeah he went to Chelsea but he still had to fight off United which to be fair is no easy task.

Inter again wasn't a cert and he won the CL there which was unbelievable when you consider how bad they've been in that competition.

And now Madrid, yeah they've got loads of money and world class players, but, they're up against arguably the greatest side ever and the greatest ever player.

Pep's career has been much much easier, Barcelona and Bayern. It would only get easier if he took over Celtic and PSG next.

Modern day football sadly, unless a team has huge financial backing coaches won't go to them.

Kloppfor an example is an rarity in football where he's go on and won with little backing in the market sadly these days as good a manager as you may be it's almost impossible to fight with those that have huge budgets to spend on transfer fees and wages.

Munich in reality is probably about as left field as he was going to go, winning the league there is all well and good but I think he'll have to be seen winning the CL to cement his reputation or at least go very close.

hard to judge how good a manager he is, certainly nowhere near Mourinho's level yet IMO.

Only been a manager for 4 seasons, not a bad return.
