Nobody knows the circumstances surrounding any of the alleged incidents associated with Joey Barton. I don't think he's some sort of Saint, but who is? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I can't believe there are people here who have never had scrapes or been involved in regrettable situations where things spiralled out of control.

I would judge a footballer by his ability rather than his background or his upbringing. Nobody is perfect, apart from Wavy Davy and Craig H obviously.

Nobody's suggesting or asking for perfection, but i sure as hell havent stubbed a cigar out on someone's eye and i do not have criminal convictions (least of all, for violent disorder), nor do i have any alcohol problems.
