    totally
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I'd let Raul go over Aquilani any day of the week.

I'd sell Meireles over Aquilani. I never understood why we signed him
He hasn't played a single minute last year due to injury and we would be in the same or worse position when we signed Aquilani few years back.

Keeping healthy Aquilani and giving a chance this year imo would be a smart piece of business on our part.

        Aquilani may face pay-cut

Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani may be out of Fiorentina's financial reach, according to the Italian's agent.

Aquilani has been a part of Liverpool's pre-season tour of the Far East, but he is expected to be sold this summer as manager Kenny Dalglish attempts to balance his squad.

The arrivals of Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam mean competition for places is fierce at Anfield ahead of the new campaign.

Aquilani spent last season on loan at Juventus after struggling in his debut Premier League campaign, but the Serie A club were not prepared to meet Liverpool's asking price.

Fiorentina have also shown an interest and the 27-year-old's agent, Franco Zavaglia, told Corriere Fiorentino: "Anything can happen, never say never. We will wait and see if there is anything concrete."

But Zavaglia acknowledges the reported £70,000-a-week wages which remain on the five-year contract Aquilani signed in 2009 could prove difficult.

He said: "Alberto has a major contract with Liverpool, and Fiorentina operate with certain economic parameters.

"I don't know whether the operation is feasible, but over time something (salary) can be skimmed (reduced)."

Still think he'll be sold if we get an offer around the 8-10 million pound mark.

If he's desperate to return to Italy surely he'll compromise on his earnings.

The point being it's all hype hype hype. Baggio probably is probably one of the best Italian players of all time. To say he is the next Baggio when he's not even played 100 games in Italy is slightly premature

Well if he got more right than he got wrong in the transfer market, he would still be the manager today

I agree I think he could turn out to be a little special next season.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

Are you saying he got more wrong than he did right in the transfer market?

The opinion of Aquilani's agent changes from day to day, but he's just told Radio Mana Mana his client will "certainly stay at Liverpool"
