We took a gamble .. a clear gamble on this fella, he had a horrendous injury record, was a little bit light weight, did not speak English and a player who likes time on a ball without getting run over by truck. There has not been a huge ammount of Italian players who have settled well in the EPL if you ask me and the ones that do tend to have a certain mindset which is suited to the English game.

All that said, when he has played for us, by and large he has been good, he does not have sign off on were he plays or who he is loaned out too and if his agent gets him a good deal, perhaps we should get his ****ing Agent to work inhouse for us, because we are obviously looked upon as a soft touch by all who are involved in football.

Finally, if you are on my team, we are just that, a team, you play for my club, I will support you to the bitter end, constructive criticism yes, but some the **** thats been spouted at ... Good luck to him, as far as I am concerned it did not work out, it happens, we should not be in the business of making 20 million pound punts on players with terrible injury records and no track record of playing abroad.

People dont settle, half the people slagging him off for not settling probably have lived in the same 10 mile radius there entire lives ... I would like to see some from the estates of Liverpool, move to some industrial town in Northern Italy and see how they fair .... its no ****ing cake walk
