Unless Jones didn't shout for the ball, that was 99% Enrique's fault. I can't see how Brad can be faulted for that. Enrique had a shocker all game. Again.

I can't say whether I think he's a good keeper or not, not seen him enough, but I don't think he did anything too terrible last night.

Was only last season I seen him in the Liverpool One Odeon while we were playing away to West Brom!

Happy for him though, he'll never be top class but for a backup he isn't that bad.

I never feel nervous when the ball is in the air and Jones is waiting. With Reina I just start twitching hoping he doesnt flap like usual. One thing Jones has been doing that Reina hasnt is diving for the ball instead of just standing there and watching it go in. He's definitely improved over time.

He has improved hasn't he? Bar his clanger in the first minute, I thought he was very good. He's also decent with the ball at his feet.

              Are we winning?

That's the problem though, he's a liability. For all his improved work, he is liable to make an absolute howler every single game.

I'd love him to eradicate those errors as he seems a great chap. Think he needs more confidence.

Agreed - if u take the 3rd minute blunder away he was pretty decent imo...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

This was the first post when I opened this thread.

Fair play though, did well to recovery after his mistake and played quite well.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

So he's about Pepe's equal then?

Where is Doni? He's disappeared into thin air. He's not a great keeper, but he should fit the bill a lot better than Jones when you consider at Roma he played the ball with his feet a lot etc. I don't mind Doni, but Jones is unfortunately going to always be poor. Given that second half is about as good as I've ever seen him play, but I don't think he's a sound second choice.

And he reminds me of Roy being his only remaining signing, so bad association, unfortunately.

Thankfully got enough confidence to get over the blunder. Not sure he's able to pass along the deck which means we'll lose possession more than we should.
                              One tit for another.

He wasn't too bad after his error
