48 minutes in and GCU are 2-0 up. Sydney couldn't win a chook raffle even if they held all the tickets.

Dodgy penalties will help though. I thought a draw was a fair result personally but the peno was a disgrace IMO.

I'm going the Wenger defence here "I didnt see it". I saw the penalty taken but not the incident. I'm a "nominal" SYD FC fan. Sydney's my town, but I don't feel a connection with the team.

I know GCU are saying that the referee was swayed by the crowd, and I for one, would not be surprised if that were the case. Either that or Sydney just get the rub of the green from the league. I've spoken to Mariners fans and they reckon Sydney always gets preference against them. They make a compelling case as well.

Some people in the media believe that if the HAL is to succeed then Sydney has to succeed. I do believe that Sydney get preferential treatment from all concerned and that includes referees. Craig Foster for one makes me sick.

IMO our owner and coach have upset many people in the game and as a result we get nothing on the field and I really do mean that. I've had season tickets since we started and have been appalled by decisions that I've seen given over and over.

It was a dull 1st half but much better 2nd half TBH. They just about deserved the win I'd say

Was going to go the the pub to watch it but decided to have a few at home instead. We've [played well 2 games in a row and got nothing to show for it which is disappointing but the effort can't be questioned.

He was really crap for us until Smeltz returned. Something changed and he was scoring regularly for a bit but the old Bruce soon returned. Eugene in goals was immense for them and he can have the 3 points not Adelaide.

He is a quality keeper, although Australia as a nation does have a good record with keepers, I think they are of a standard better than that of the players in the league in general.

PS I saw some of the sydney game before half time, enough time to see the only goal. Really good weekend of results for us, lots of draws makes things nice and closer while we got in for a win.
