Bayern spokesman Markus Hoerwick told reporters about the Wolfsburg midfielder: "We will definitely not become active in the matter of De Bruyne. This is something the board has decided for some time."

BREAKING: DE BRUYNE'S MUNICH TALKS

Sources in Belgium have told SSNHQ that Kevin de Bruyne’s representatives have had no contact or discussions with Manchester United.

It’s understood however that they have held talks with Bayern Munich’s President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge about the player joining the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season.

Man City remain favourites to sign the winger and talks to conclude a deal worth up to £58m are continuing today. It’s understood the player is happy to join City, but has said he “won’t go to war” with Wolfsburg.

Manchester City are confident they have finally agreed a deal to sign Kevin De Bruyne from Wolfsburg for an initial €74m (£54m), although bonuses could take the deal beyond €80m (£58.5m).

Negotiations over the Belgium midfielder have been taking place for several weeks and sources close to the Bundesliga club have confirmed that a breakthrough was reached on Wednesday. Several details still need to be resolved, including the structure of payments due and the player’s medical.

However, it is understood that De Bruyne will fly to England on Thursday for his medicaland is expected to be officially unveiled as a City player on Fridaytomorrow.

If the deal goes through, it would become the second highest transfer fee paid by an English club behind the £59.7m Manchester United paid for Ángel di María last summer. It would also surpass the club record £49m City paid to Liverpool for Raheem Sterling earlier this summer.De Bruyne is expected to be offered wages worth around £250,000 a week.

De Bruyne is ****ing dross. Fifty four million, fifty four ****ing million for someone who is pure dog ****. If someone like George Best, Pele, Maldini, Dalglish were playing now, in this modern day era they'd be worth five hundred and fifty million pounds, £550 million and that's just a figure I've made up from thin air for pure quality. That is how ridiculous football has become. I'm not a footballer, in fact I don't play for anyone not even 5 a side. I reckon in today's market because I can kick a ball, based on that alone I'd be worth 1 million.
