Something odd about this transfer - I get him not settling and wanting to go back to Spain.......but doubling your money selling to a club who is bankrupt seems fishy. I’d suspect foul play but these clubs are bastions of financial morality......

They refinanced their debt so that's not an issue, how it fits into their budget and Spanish FFP is another thing. I think City also got options on Barca players before any other club which drove the deal down.
How much cash actually changes hands is another issue.
I make no apologies, this is me

And how have city even done this deal when the tranny window hasn't even slammed open yet????

City and Barcelona involved in what looks to be a somewhat questionable transfer, why are people surprised?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agreed in advance, just like we did with VVD

**** all to see IMHO, Torres valued a little high etc, but nothing really stinks

Yeah, nowt dodgy about a club who can barely afford to employ a part time tea lady doubling up a club on a player who hasn't shown enough to double value.

Nah. I think Torres will be a good player, I'm surprised city allowed him to go as he's more of a striker than what they've got.

…watch them spend another £100m+ on a benchwarmer to replace him in Jan.

Slightly surprised they're not already a couple of goals up against Brentford

They’ve had a few one-nils but will take some beating now. We’ve slipped up with that loss last night but the draws are what will ultimately kill off our challenge
