I checked the score via the planes wifi on 87 mins & was resigned to the fact we’d be playing them & suddenly it updated to 2-1 Madrid & then I had to exit the plane. I’m waiting in the line at customs before I got free wifi again & let out a little Woot Woot when it showed 3-1 Madrid at FT.Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I left for my mountain bike ride a minute after Man City scored. I assumed we'd be meeting them in the final but when I checked my phone on the trails I spat out my water... 2-1! Wow penalties it is then.
Another water stop later... 3-1! Faaark!
I think a flock of birds took flight in unison at the sound of my whoop! Was muß, das muß.

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.
Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

One thing of note last night for Citys opponents would be the 2 goals Real scored. Basic balls into the box, crosses not blocked and then headers won easily, or in the case of the first a simple assist chance for Benzema.
Newcastle will want the prestige of a win for the owners here. And they ahve that big lad they bought from Burnley to play the Benzema role.
It wont be easy for them, but we are looking for them to get a point.
Last night proved that there is always hope. Always a chance until the last ball is kicked.
De Bruyne is so pivotal for them, they are almost a one man team take him out and they are not the same team.Modifying post.

The type of madness that struck their game in the CL last night.Originally posted by Pepe79 View PostWould love to see something big and decisive go against them.
Something like the Sterling ‘offside’ or the Gerrard slip in 2014.
The .05mm of the ball not crossing the line in 2019.
The Rodri blatant handball in 2022.
A team scoring 3 against them from 2 shots on target and a deflection.
It’s almost impossible to see them dropping points without some sort of freak event like that happening against them for once in the right game
It’s not enough that they get to spend almost half a billion more on transfers to be a ahead by a point, they always get the crucial defining moments of luck too.
Something like that, but in the league. Please..
